Joseph Gray founded REVShare in 1989. During his twenty year tenure as CEO, Mr. Gray oversaw REVShare’s growth into what is today television’s largest Cost-per-Action Advertising Network representing over 1,700 television properties across the United States and Canada. In 2010, Joseph assumed the role of Chairman of the Board and continues to play an active role in management. He is often called upon to speak about new forms of television advertising as well as REVShare’s distribution approach and its proprietary technologies which are helping to bring the accountability of the Internet to Television Advertising.
Gray is responsible for the development of the technology that established REVShare as the industry’s first unwired Cost-per-Action advertising network. He also headed up the creation of CPAMetrics™ a system which has attracted brand/direct agencies and advertisers to REVShare. His innovations and entrepreneurial spirit have led to the development of data processing and management systems which are evolving the future of performance based television advertising.
When Gray was 19, he founded his first company, Watertight Imports, to design waterproof alarm systems for the marine industry. Using his self-taught skills and love of inventing, he expanded the company into a consulting business specializing in prototyping and designing electronic products. In 1990, he designed a computer bulletin board system called Invent Net! to encourage networking among innovative people. His experiences there led him to form another company, Global Media Productions, offering inventors assistance with post-product production, test marketing and direct response marketing. Combining that work with his knowledge of the Internet, led to what is now REVShare.
Gray has been featured in numerous articles throughout the years such as RESPONSE, AdAge, Adotas, and has published a white paper, “Will Multicasting Checkmate the Television Ad Industry,” in the publication, Electronic Retailing.
